How EATERA was born

EATERA was born from the idea of ​​Martina, a girl from Matera, to bring her city, European Capital of Culture 2019, all over the world, with its history, its artistic, gastronomic and landscape qualities. As a young girl I breathed serenely the air of the Rione Sassi, between light shows and evenings with friends.
I have always brought Matera with me, even when, moved to Milan to study, she tried other flavors and sensations.
I subsequently decide to abandon my course of study after completing the Degree course and I dedicate myself body and soul to the rediscovery of my land and above all to its flavors.
I dive in and start researching the origins and history of Matera.
Walking through the Sassi, remembering the old tales of my grandmother, I studied the ancient domestic customs: the cave as a house with a stable inside, the bread oven, the cistern to collect rainwater, the vegetable garden that he had to ensure abundance on the table.
